FHFA House Price Index Up 0.2% in April

U.S. house prices rose in April, up 0.2% from March 2020. This is according to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) House Price Index (HPI). House prices also rose 5.5% from April 2019 to April 2020.

Similarly, the FHFA reported that US house prices increased 0.1 during the month of March. Seasonally-adjusted monthly house prices changed -0.5% in the South Atlantic division from March to April 2020.

In the West South Atlantic division, monthly house prices changed +0.8%. However, in total, the 12-month changes were all positive. This ranged from +5.0% in the Middle Atlantic division to +6.8% in the Mountain division.
