Funding for Q2 late-stage venture capital exceeded expectations this year, despite the economic impact of Covid-19. However, funding fell beneath last year’s Q2 late-stage funding. Many of the companies receiving funding in Q2 have been directly impacted by Covid-19, with the "new normal" triggering an increase in consumers or clientele. Overall, 55 firms raised over $5.1 billion during the funding period, according to data tracked by The Buttonwood Tree.
