Ares Management Corporation (NYSE: ARES) has raised nearly $5 billion in the second quarter through its private equity funds. The Los Angeles-based asset manager is close to raising more than $30 billion this year across all its strategies. These strategies include credit, private equity, and real estate.
Ares Management has collected a total of $9.1 billion from April through June. This is about 25% more than the $7.3 billion it raised in the same period last year.
The Ares Corporate Opportunities Fund VI raised $3.3 billion during the quarter. Meanwhile, the Ares Special Opportunities Fund collected $1.5 billion, closing to new investors with nearly $3.5 billion in commitments.
