Scener Receives $2.1M in Seed Funding

Scener, a watch-together streaming service, received $2.1 million in seed funding round led by Seattle-based SeaChange. The platform's co-viewing movie and television watch parties are available across 10 streaming platforms, and this list continues to grow at an accelerated pace. Founded in 2018, the company - also based in Seattle - enabled Netflix users in separate households to enjoy content together in real-time.

Since its launch, Scener has expanded to support a number of other platforms, propelled forward by a quarantine-driven demand. These include Disney Plus, Hulu, Funimation, Youtube, and many more. Recently, the company scaled its technology, to deliver a brand new social platform for both content creators and movie-buffs alike.
