Stairwell Receives Seed Capital

Cyber-security startup, Stairwell, recently received an undisclosed amount of seed funding. The round was led by California-based Accel Venture Partners, alongside Sequoia Capital, Gradient Ventures, Allen & Company, and other angel investors. According to CEO Mike Wiacek, the capital will build Stairwell's product. It will also allow for new hires, growing the company's headcount.

Founded last year, Stairwell is an innovative new company with the vision to enable any security team to defend against attacks. The Palo Alto-based startup turns fragmented data into an understanding of what's 'good,' what's 'bad,' and why. In addition to providing clientele with previously unheard of security capabilities, the company boasts user-friendly software.
