CereVasc Raises $43.9 Million for eShunt System

Cerevasc is a Boston-based company that develops novel treatments for people who are suffering from neurological diseases, like hydrocephalus. Based on its strategy to provide minimally invasive therapies for brain disorders, Cerevasc is developing its eShunt system that will eliminate the need to treat hydrocephalus through surgery. The company successfully raised $43.9 million for the first-of-its-kind system in June.

The venture capital was led by Aton Partners and Perceptive Xontogeny Venture (PXV) as Series A funding. That said, a lot of businesses are going towards Series A funding.
