Asset Managers Aim for Carbon Neutrality

A group of 30 asset managers aims for carbon neutrality by 2050. With more than $9 trillion in investment, the group agrees to the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative to ensure that their clients' portfolios are carbon neutral in 30 years. This group includes Schroders and UBS Asset Management. The group will prioritize reducing the carbon footprint at the companies in which they invest, and work with clients to reach their decarbonization goals. On top of that, they will also set interim goals based on the United Nation's Paris Climate Agreement. This deal aims to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2050.
