Confluent Confidentially Files for IPO

Confluent, a real-time event streaming platform, confidentially files for IPO by submitting a draft registration statement to the SEC. The offering will take place after the SEC completes its review process. Nothing specific is known about this IPO as of yet.

Confluent begins with Jay Kreps, Jun Rao and Neha Narkhede. They are former engineers at LinkedIn and early developers of streaming processing software Apache Kafka. In June, the company named Steffan Tomlinson as chief financial officer. Tomlinson was the former chief financial officer of Google’s cloud and technical infrastructure business. According to its website, the cloud technology-based company also allows organizations to build applications that react and respond to data flow.
