$16M Raised in Pre-Series A by Saltwater AgTech Red Sea Farms

Saltwater AgTech startup Red Sea Farms, has raised $16 million in pre-series A funding. The round was led by Aramco’s entrepreneurship arm Wa’ed, KAUST, the Saudi government-owned Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute, Global Ventures, AppHarvest, and US-based Bonaventure. Earlier this year, the AgTech announced that they had secured a $10 million investment. The additional $6 million brings their total raised to $16 million.

Red Sea Farms was co-founded in 2018 by world-renowned plant scientist, Dr. Mark Tester, and agriculture engineering expert, Ryan Lefers.
