Volkswagen plans to launch a venture capital fund that would initially amount to $355 million. These funds will help the company invest in de-carbonization projects and start-ups. Such investments will cement the company's march towards sustainability.
The multinational automobile manufacturer has headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany. But the Volkswagen Group overlooks ten prominent brands throughout subsidiaries in five European countries. For instance, it has within its purview brands such as Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, ŠKODA, SEAT, and CUPRA. Furthermore, it also oversees other brands, such as Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche, and Ducati. It also has 117 production plants, spanning five continents.
