The space engineering firm Sidus Space Inc. went public on December 14. The company, which provides engineering service to satellites, debuted on the NASDAQ exchange under the ticker SIDU.
The firm priced its 3 million shares of common stock at $5 per share, with gross proceeds that would total $15 million. Sidus plans to use the proceeds for marketing and sales. Sidus also intends to use the money to launch its Constellation Satellite initiative. This includes their LizzieSat 1, expected to be found in 2022. The satellite is “optimized to meet the precise conditions of commercial and governmental demands in an increasingly interconnected, cloud-based, and data-driven world.”
