Education start-up Course Hero has raised $380 million in a Series C funding round recently. Wellington Management, joined by D1 Capital Partners, GSV Ventures, NewView Capital, and OMERS Growth Equity, has led the financing.
The education company raised only $15 million in a Series A funding over the course of eight years. Afterwards, it spent six years with no venture capital. However, now Course Hero has increased its value for over 200% in less than a year. To date, the start-up's valuation is $3.6 billion.
