Women-Focused Healthcare Major Theramex Snapped Up by Carlyle Group and PAI Partners

Global private equity firms Carlyle Group and PAI Partners announced their intention to acquire Theramex. Theramex is a leading global specialty pharmaceuticals company focused on women’s health. The PE firms purchased the company from another PE firm CVC Partners.

Bloomberg reported the deal to be worth around $1.4 billion. However, the parties have not yet disclosed the details of the transaction. Furthermore, the transaction is still subject to customary closing conditions.

Under CVC Funds’ ownership, Theramex has built loyal relationships with physicians through its dedicated sales force. It has also made significant investments in digital capabilities.
