Telemedicine Start-up ‘Hey Jane’ Planning to Mop Up Funds

Hey Jane, a telemedicine start-up invested in providing abortion pills, is looking for funding from a Series A round. So far, the start-up has raised $3.6 million. It received funding from Gaingels, Dorm Room Fund, Moving Capital, and Koa Labs. In August 2021, the firm raised $2.2 million in funding.

Hey Jane origins 

Hey Jane was founded in 2019. Founder and CEO Kiki Freedman had a conversation in 2019 about abortion clinics that inspired her to start Hey Jane.

They offer abortion services to women in five states. The states they serve are New York, California, Washington, Illinois, Colorado, and New Mexico. The start-up offers abortion pills “up to 10 weeks of pregnancy” for adult patients.
