Limited Abortion Access: An Economic Cost to the US

Women losing abortion access in parts of US comes as a concern for the US economy. Reproductive rights activists and economists are worried about what women and the nation's economy will have to endure. Restricting reproductive freedom not only comes as a cost to the women, but also to the economy.

As per a leaked draft opinion, the US Supreme Court may be ready to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling as soon as next month. Moreover, thirteen states have trigger laws that would immediately ban abortion if the ruling was overturned.
