Mercedes-Benz Issues ‘Do Not Drive’ Advisory for 292,000 Vehicles in US

Mercedes-Benz has issued 'do not drive' order for 292,000 ML, GL and R-Class vehicles from the 2006 to 2012 models in the US. The advisory has been issued due to braking issues. The company's US unit has urged owners to stop driving the particular models immediately.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said that Mercedes issued a voluntary 'do not drive' recall because of potentially corroded brake booster. The corrosion would severely impact the brakes' effectiveness, increasing the risk of a crash.
