Fintech company, Merge generated $9.5 million in seed funding led by its main investor Octopus Ventures. Additionally, Coinbase Ventures, Alameda Research, and Hashed were other investors. Lastly, they received investments from Aave founders, Polygon, Ledger’s CEO, and past CEO of Barclays Consumer Banking.
Because of their fintech and crypto power, Octopus was Merge’s main investor. For Merge, they need people who have familiarity with fintech and crypto.
“It was very important to us to have investors that both understood the fintech world and the crypto world because we are merging these two together,” Kebbie Sebastian, founder of Merge, said.
