McDonald’s to Reopen Under a New Name In Russia

Alexander Govor, the new owner of McDonald's, has renamed the McDonald's chain of restaurants in Russia, Oleg Paroev, CEO of the new company, said.

Thus, It has been re-christen as “Vkusno & tochka” which translates to “Tasty and that’s it."

Paroev said the company was looking for new suppliers of soft drinks as its Coca Cola stocks have gone down. All but 2% of the chain's ingredients were sourced within Russia, he added.

The chain will reopen under the new brand name and new menu names as the US has imposed sanctions on Russia for invading Ukraine.

All the former employees will retain their positions and a new logo - a burger with two fries - plus a slogan: "The name changes, love stays".
