Malaysia's leading low-cost airline Air Asia Group plans to change its name to Capital A Bhd. The Companies Commission of Malaysia has approved the plan, and the company has reserved the same on 28 December 2021. In addition, the company has filed its decision with Bursa Malaysia on 3 January 2022 and waiting for shareholders' approval. Although the company's name will be changed, the airline's business will be using the old name. The company's move is committed to expanding ride-hailing portfolios, food delivery, and financial technology. The new portfolios provide a super-app to cater services for customers such as booking flight tickets, delivering food, and ride-hailing.
