Sinclair Broadcasting Group (NASDAQ: SBGI) has made an offer to acquire NBCUniversal's seven regional sports networks. The preliminary offer was made as part of a June 28 deadline for the first round bids, according to reports from the New York Post.
Bid Details and Prior Acquisitions
The NY Post could not figure out the bid amount. It is also currently unclear whether any other networks placed bids. It is possible for the deal to not even go through. This is because Sinclair is unaware of all of the financial details surround NBC's RSNs, according to The Post.
