Mental Health Firms to Share Headspace After Merger in $3 Billion Deal

Headspace and Ginger merge to form new mental healthcare venture- Headspace Health

Headspace and Ginger entered into a definitive agreement on Wednesday, 25 August 2021, to join forces to create a novel digital mental health platform named Headspace Health. The merger was agreed for $3 billion. The meditation app Headspace and digital mental health company Ginger arranged the merger to combine their efforts into a single platform. The newly formed company will concentrate its operations on behavioral health and overall wellbeing. It will cater to consumers, employees, and health plan markets.

According to the deal, the CEO of Ginger, Russel Glass, will take charge as the CEO of Headspace Health. The current CEO of Headspace, Cece Morken, will take over as the President of the new venture.
