One, Two, Three… Thousand Dollars of College Debt

In the US, going to college is expensive, even with assistance from scholarships. This is especially true for post-primary and post-secondary school when the allure of university life comes into play. But, the statistics are blunt nonetheless: nearly one in four US citizens owe some type of college debt, which, according to Nitro College in 2021, amounts to about $1.53 trillion.

Unfortunately, selling items and changing spending habits cannot magically fix college debt. So, college students leave with less a feeling of accomplishment and more of a burden of debt. And, when times become unbearably difficult and unlivable, claiming bankruptcy is sometimes the ultimate choice.
