The Chedi Andermatt hotel, a Swiss luxury hotel, is accepting crypto payments for hotel bookings.
The luxury residence is under the management of Samih Sawiris. Currently, they allow guests to settle their bills with Ethereum and Bitcoin. But they are planning to add other cryptocurrencies as well. The hotel first considered crypto payments four years ago when it wanted to avoid price fluctuations to ensure safe transactions.
One of the greatest opportunities cryptocurrency payments provide for the hotel is payment security for guests internationally. Furthermore, it will allow international groups to hedge inflation after a challenging year.
