In August, Citigroup Inc. announced that Nathan Sheets, Ph.D., will make his grand return to the company. He will begin his role as the new Global Chief Economist this October. Based in New York, Sheets will be responsible for the global economics team.
From 2011 to 2014, Sheets pursued his last posting at Citigroup as Global Head of International Economics.
Sheets expressed his excitement towards making his remarkable return to Citigroup, saying: “It’s great to be back at Citi, and I look forward to once again tapping into the firm’s unmatched global footprint, broad expertise, and broad network of clients. I am honored by the opportunity to lead Citi’s talented economics team and contribute to a history of world-class thought leadership.”
