Investment firm Manulife announced the closure of its Fund Manulife Infrastructure Fund II L.P. (MIF II). The $4.65 billion funds have received capital commitments from 29 limited partners as well as Manulife's general account.
While MIF II is only Manulife Investment's second infrastructure fund, it has significant global private investments totaling more than US$54 billion. These include tangible assets such as infrastructure, real estate, timberland, agriculture, and private equity and credit.
"MIF II is the largest fund that Manulife Investment Management has raised to date, and it also reflects growing recognition of the capabilities of our private market," added Stephen J Blewitt, global head of private markets Manulife Investment Management.
