Razorpay has doubled its valuation from $3 billion to $7.5 billion with a new series funding round. It raised $375 million in a series-F round led by TCV, Lone Pine capital & Alkeon Capital.
Existing investors Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital India, GIC, and Y Combinator participated in this round.
Expansion Plans
The company is planning for acquisition in 2022, and starting with South East Asian countries; it will expand its operations globally. Therefore, it will be hiring 600 people next year in Data Science, AI, and Cloud roles.
Razorpay CEO and Co-Founder Harshil Mathur said the funds would be used to expand its neo-banking services to help businesses avail banking services. Also, the start-up will utilize the capital towards investing in intelligent technologies.
