The healthcare technology firm Casana recently closed a $30 million round in Series B funding. Led by the private equity firm Morningside, which specialises in the science and technology sector, Casana hopes to use the funding to further develop their technology, especially the product known as ‘The Heart Seat.’
The Outsiders Fund and General Catalyst, who had participated in their Series A round, returned to provide further investments. Also joining was the private equity investment firm Matrix Partners, which focuses on seed and early-stage investments.
The round bought the total capital raised by the New York-based company up to $46 million.
