Increasing concerns over global recession as global risks are rising

Despite recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, global economies face more challenges that affect their economic activity. Global market risks are increasing and economic outlook remains uncertain, although many economists don’t agree on a recession scenario for 2022.

There are some major processes that decrease global economic growth potential for 2022 and those are: Russia-Ukraine war, sanctions imposed on Russia, China’s “Zero COVID” policies, global inflation challenges, and increasing interest rates by US FED.

It is yet unclear whether current economic and political processes, and policies implemented could incline the global economy into a contraction.
