Southeast Asia’s Internet Economy To Reach $1 Trillion By 2030

Internet economy in Southeast Asia (SEA) is galloping and expected to reach $1 trillion by 2030 as the region entered digital decade.

US tech firm Alphabet Inc, Bain & Company and Singapore’s Temasek Holdings revealed this in their report.

The report entitled “e-Conomy SEA” said it will grow from $174 billion now to $360 billion in 2025 and to $1 trillion by 2030.

"The shifts in consumer and merchant behavior means Internet economy could reach $1 trillion by 2030,” the report said.

Changing Consumer Attitude

The extraordinary shift in consumer behavior has led to the rise of the digital merchant and local digital SMEs have embraced the digital services end-to-end.
