U.S. investment firm Blackstone Inc. will invest $3 billion in CDPQ and Invenergy Renewables Holdings as equity investment.
Blackstone is the world's largest alternative asset manager.
It has allocated $13 billion to support companies for transitioning to cleaner energy since 2019. Furthermore, It has announced plans to reduce carbon emissions by 15% through new investments.
Blackstone controls energy use in the first three years of ownership in the companies in which it invests.
The US-based Invenergy is building the largest wind and solar energy projects in the country. Furthermore, these projects will generate 3 GW of power once completed in 2023.
